It is an exciting time to pursue a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. You can explore many intellectually stimulating research questions with great real-world applications in this fast-growing academic field. Moreover, job opportunities for new Ph.D. graduates are excellent. Demand for new faculty in entrepreneurship far exceeds the supply of new Ph.D. graduates.

The Regnier Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Missouri-Kansas City delivers exceptional entrepreneurship education and research programs. It is ranked among the top 25 graduate entrepreneurship programs in the United States by the Princeton Review. Eight full-time faculty members in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at IEI are productive scholars who regularly publish in top-tier academic journals in entrepreneurship and related fields. Three more faculty members are joining us next fall. We are committed to building one of the best doctoral programs in the country and training the next generation of entrepreneurship professors.

We plan to house about 20 Ph.D. students who are exclusively devoted to research in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This relatively large size will allow us to offer a comprehensive set of doctoral-level seminars in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and unparalleled research collaboration opportunities for our students.

For Fall 2013, we are accepting applications under two Ph.D. programs: Stand-Alone Ph.D. and Interdisciplinary Ph.D. The application process if different for each program.
