Our students acquire first hand knowledge in creating and managing high-growth potential enterprises. Through in-class and extracurricular activities, students acquire and apply the skills and expertise necessary for starting and growing a company. 

Opportunities exist for students to:

• compete in business plan competitions

• discover potential new commercialization opportunities

• participate in additional experiential learning programs

All students are expected to create and manage a new venture before graduation.

And entrepreneurship education isn't limited to just business students. We welcome students from every discipline on the UMKC campus who want to learn how to spark ideas and create businesses.
