2016 Student Entrepreneur of the Year Scholarship
The Bloch School Regnier Institute Advisory Council gives an annual $2,500 scholarship to a Bloch School student for significant entrepreneurial achievement. The winner will be announced on November 2, 2016 at the Regnier Institute 1st Wednesday event. The scholarship recipient will be expected to attend the annual Entrepreneur of the Year Award Dinner on November 10, 2016 to give a short speech for a high-profile audience of more than 600 attendees.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Must be a degree-seeking student at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management

  • Must be a student in good academic standing (minimum 3.0 grade point average)

Scholarship Criteria
The scholarship winner will be selected by the Regnier Institute Advisory Council, based on the following criteria:

  • Entrepreneurship Performance: The five key elements of creativity, originality, risk taking, action/results orientation and persistence will be evaluated.

    • Demonstrated entrepreneurial skills in overcoming an obstacle(s) to achieve a goal

    • Actively participated in the Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation’s entrepreneurship activities.

  • Academic Performance: Minimum 3.0 grade point average

Scholarship Application Packet
Applications are accepted in the Fall Semester only.

The completed scholarship application packet must include the following:

  • Completed scholarship application form (please type or print legibly)

  • 500-word essay describing your entrepreneurial activities.

  • Current copy of your resume

  • One faculty or professional recommendation letter

Application Deadline and Submission of Materials
Return your completed scholarship application packet to the Bloch School Student Services Office located in Bloch Heritage Hall Room 115 by 4 PM on October 14, 2016. Incomplete application packets will not be considered.
